how many calories should I eat and still lose weight??

I was at 1200 calorie intake and was losing slowly but I noticed when I up my calorie intake to 1400. I lost weight a little faster. My question is now that im working out do I need to eat the1400 plus the calories I burn to continue the weight loss or do I just eat 1400???
