I'm sure this gets asked often- how do you determine your ideal healthy weight?

I always thought i wanted to get down to 150... but it was just a number I pulled out
of my head.... are there any tools I can use to help me figure out what a good goal
weight would be?

I had an evaluation done by a dietitician, best thing I ever did!
  • Here is the link from another post. It's a "Happy Weight Calculator" which helps you shoot for a weight that is healthy for you but still REALISTIC.

There seems to be no "Happy" at Happy Weight for you and I. Maybe I'm lots taller than I think....:noway:

According to that website my happy weight is 159.....I'm less than that now. My goal weight is 145...and that's what I'm sticking with. It was my weight as of two years ago and I know it was healthy/comfortable/thin.

I just don't think this is info you should try to get from that website. Look at your healthy BMI range and choose where you would feel comfortable. It did choose a weight in my healthy BMI range but on the high end.
