Daily Calorie count

What is the 'right' daily calorie intake. MFP set my at 1800 I assume based on my profile information that I entered (age, weight.etc.). That seems low.
I used some other calorie calculators on the Internet with same profile info and was returned with 2200, which seems more reasonable. Ofcourse I am trying to give myself some room there
Question for the gurus out there, how do you determine what the 'right' daily calorie intake is?

If you put in your correct height, age, weight, and how many lbs you want to drop each week MFP is pretty accurate. The great thing is on days you workout, you add those calories in and you get to eat them back.0

Most other calculators include exercise, MFP doesn't. Keep that in mind when MFP seems lower. MFP works on kind of a staggered calorie system. You eat a baseline amount when you don't exercise, and eat more on days you do exercise, so that you maintain a consistent calorie deficit every day.0
