Ok so I'm a runner and I seriously can't drop any weight, I would like to drop a little so I can run faster. I think maybe it's because I'm not eating enough but I really don't know, maybe you guys could give me an idea on what your diet is like, or whats helped you, any advice would be awesome from runners or non runners of course! THANKS in advance!

My first advice is to make sure you're eating the right things. Runners should eat more carbs, a little more protein, and less fat. And make sure the carbs are the right carbs, and the proteins are the right proteins. Whole grains, lean protein...nuts, chicken breast, lean ground beef/turkey. And drink lots and lots of water.

This is what works for me. But I'm absolutely no expert! Good luck!

Timing can have an impact as well. Are you eating a carb snack before your run? What kind of distance are your running? You may need to be consumming calories during a long run. I use gels but some people swear by fig newtons in small bites or dried fruit. Think carbs before and during. I've always heard you need a good protein/carb snack after a run. Chocolate milk has been recommended but I can't do it. I make a low cal smoothie with lite yogurt berries and unsweetened almond breeze.

I know as a runner losing weight can be frustrating. My BMI is in a healthy range but compared to most runners I'm considered heavy (go figure!)
