Is it normal to stop losing weight for a couple of days?

I've been doing very well on my diet and I've been losing weight regularly but in the past 4 or 5 days I haven't lost any! I haven't been eating unhealthy at all and I have even started working out a lot more! I don't know what the problem is but it's very frustrating! Why is this happening?

It's very normal. Try not to look at day to day fluctuations or it will drive you nuts. Just look at trends over time. If you stall out for 5-6 weeks, examine causes/etc.0

I've heard that your body retains more water when it's trying to repair sore muscles, so if you've started working out a lot more that may be the cause. Also, are you close to your goal? Oftentimes the last 5 or 10 pounds can be the hardest to lose. Just keep at it and slowly but surely the weight will come off!0

So would it be better to weigh myself once a week instead of everyday? I still want to lose about thirty pounds.0

It's up to you. If daily weigh-ins will drive you crazy, stick to once a week. I might have to go back to once a week myself if I don't quit obsessing over every fluctuation!0

Yes, I'm told that once a week is much better. Our weight can fluctuate daily for a lot of reasons.0 -
Most definitely normal
I would advise weighing once a week, at the same time.
Sometimes people can go weeks without losing anything!
It just a fact of life regarding weight loss - sometimes you plateau :flowerforyou:0 -

I logged my weight almost daily for about 6 weeks. It can give you some insight into how your body works if you don't go crazy worrying about the ups and downs. I learned that I lose a few pounds (seemingly overnight), stay there for a few days, gain some back, stay there for about a week and then lose again, cycle continues. It really helpe me to see that trend. Now I don't worry when I see a few pounds come back on after a loss. I see it as my normal cycle. If you will obsess over what you see every day, it is probably better to weigh weekly, or even monthly though.0
