thoughts? how long have you been on it and when did you start feeling the effects of taking it?
my friend started selling this and from the dateline report on it, it seems like a good product. also read a couple of peer reviewed studies that touch on diabetes and heart disease (not that i have either). she told me that tim tebow uses it and his dad is a distributor for the company. i thought i'd try it for 3 months to give her some business, but i wanted to know if anyone else uses it.

A review by Science-Based Medicine of eight peer-reviewed studies found insufficient evidence to support its usefulness.
Protandim is a combination of Milk thistle, Bacopa extract, Ashwagandha, Green tea extract, and Turmeric extract. The Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database show that none of these are known to have any significant clinical benefit from antioxidant effects. Some of them are listed as “not enough information” to know if they are safe.

it is a supplement that is supposed to reduce the oxidative stress in your body, which in turn reduces the number of free-radicals harming your internal cells.0 -

thanks for taking the time to answer. which of the ingredients are listed as not enough information to know if they are safe? that is the first i have heard that. is it the milk thistle? bacopa is a supplement for memory and brain function, ashwagandha is for the immune system and an anti-inflamatory, green tea extract is an antioxidant and tumeric is a spice that has healing properties.
there are few things that the medical community has deemed to have 'insufficient evidence to support its usefulness' that i swear by. for example, taking my son off all casein products reduced his autistic symptoms. it helped a lot of other parents as well, but isn't supported by the mainstream medical community. that doesn't necessarily deter me because the evidence that is there is very positive about the help it provides in specific instances. however, i agree that it doesn't mean it will help me or even that it is beneficial to take when not in those instances.
i do eat sensibly and exercise, but i also take a prenatal vitamin and additional calcium and b12 supplements.0 -
I have found protandim to be quite beneficial, if you would like more information, please email me rebeccagrasma@sio.midco.net0

Yes! I've been taking it for the last several months. It has gone through quite a number of clinical studies at major universities, proving its benefits. Unlike any other supplement on the market, it reduces free radicals at a rate of 1,000,000 (yes, 1 million) to 1. Most other antioxidant supplements reduce the rate at much, much smaller varying ratios (12:1, 20:1, etc.)
Diabetics, particularly, are having incredible results. Many have greatly reduced or eliminated their insulin.
This is truly the real deal when it comes to antioxidants.

I have been using Protandim for 3 months. I have noticed an increase in exercise endurance and recovery. It's purpose is to reduce oxidative stress in the body, which we all have. The Dateline video sold me. I agree with the video in that I do not want to wait until I'm 70 and find out I should have been taking it. I sleep like a rock and I feel much more focused. I love to go on bike rides and I have noticed I am able to ride for longer distances and I am able to run on the treadmill for longer since I started taking it. A friend of mine just put her son on it who has severe asthma and allergies. Three weeks into taking it, he has absolutely no symptoms! Another friend of mine is taking it and just had surgery, the surgeon commented he had never seen such a minimal inflammatory response following surgery. This is where I order mine
