I have cooked some recipes on-line that give e the calories. But what if I make my own recipe. How do I figure out calories and such?

Write down all of the ingredients and sum the calories and macronutrients of each ingredient in the recipe.0

Go to food tab and click on recipes. Then open up recipe calculator.0
-
Log it all in Recipe section and it will calculate it for you.0

Definitely use the recipe calculator! It's great. I use it all the time. Pretty easy too. :happy:0

Hi!
I make a lot of food from scratch at home. That's why I love MFP, because under your Food Tab, you can go to the Recipe
tab. This tab allows you to "enter new recipe". I list all of the ingredients and also how many it serves. Don't forget to hit "Save" at the bottom. Ha!
I love this feature.0 -
Yep, use the recipe tab. I've used it several times. Often, I'm a little shocked at the calories in certain recipes that I thought were pretty healthy...then it's kind of a revelation just how many calories are in some of those dishes. Ouch.0
