My name is Amanda, I'm 31, 5'7" and have weighed in the 180's for the past 8 years or so. A couple weeks ago, I was at 190 and realized that I haven't magically lost weight by NOT counting calories, and it's really the only thing that definitely works for me so I might as well do it! My good friend Lauren pointed me to this website and I love it. I really think it is giving me all the tools I need to finally get in shape. Sure, there are other things I need to work with: depression, anxiety, binge eating; but I really think I'm going to do it this time :)

  • Hi, I'm Rachel, and I'm kinda in the same boat as you. I'm 26 5' 7" and 188 lbs. My major problems with weight loss and maintaining my weight are stress and binge eating. I have been able to lose weight with calorie counting, but I can't keep it off because once I lose it I quit counting calories and fall right back into the binge eating. Hopefully this site will help both of us lose it AND keep it off!

I know what you both mean with that its easy to over reward yourself when you hit a mini goal then get deflated when you put weight back on. I eat food for fuel mostly and it can be hard for some ppl to get their head around but it is always a good idea to have some chicken grilled n ready to eat in the fridge so if you get a craving you are at least eating something good for you plus the protein keeps you feeling fuller for longer :)
