I am staying under my calories and I have lost weight but I feel like I am failing. I look at other peoples diary and I see how many calories they are burning and that they can do cardio for a straight 45 minutes. I am just getting started and 10-15 minutes tops is what I can do. i a failing.

Keep your head up! This battle is long and hard and you will get there if you stick it out!!! That 10-15 minutes will be more soon enough try increasing 2 minutes a week!0

I started two months ago with ten minutes per session, and the sessions were pretty pitiful. Kinect Rallyball usually, and I was so bad off I mostly just played by putting my body in the way of the 'ball' rather than actually kicking or hitting it! Walking (slowly!) for 10 to 20 minutes at a time tops, and that's about it.
I'm still nowhere near in shape, but I can do ten times what I could two months ago. I jog as well as walk now, when I play Kinect games I'm always in danger of destroying nearby humans and furniture, and I can even do a little bit of weights.
So anyway, start where you're at, do short sessions, and work your way up. Because if my fat, out of shape self can get this far in two months, you'll be even further faster.0 -
What about that is failing? Because you don't have the time or inclination to kill yourself on the treadmill every day?
Everyone has their own path. As for me, I hate cardio. I just don't like it. I'll take a walk outside, but only if the weather is just right, so that doesn't happen very often. Or I'll do some light cardio on the Wii Fit, for 30 minutes at the most. I also have friends who run 3 miles every morning, and hit the weights 3 times a week. That's awesome for them, and I cheer them on. But it's not what I want for myself right now.
If YOU want to do those things, then do them. It'll take some time to work up to being able to work out that long and that hard, so you'll have to keep at it until your stamina improves. But if you don't want to do it that way, you don't have to. This is your life. Do what works for you.0 -
Like Cass said, keep your head up! Everyone's body is different and we all work out on different levels. Just keep doing what you're doing and eventually you will be able to do more cardio. I can NOT run, but I want to. So each week I try to add a minute or two onto my time. Just push yourself a little more each week and you'll be surprised at the progress you see. You can do it. Failing is NOT an option0

two years ago i could hardly get out of bed and walking up the stairs in my house was a big chore. i was out of breath all of the time. i am now one of them people you speak of in regard to intense workouts ..however it took time to get to that point.. try to find a trainer that can fit in to your budget .a trainer saved my life and taught me how to work out and gave me the support and push i needed. if you cant go that route then just walk..walk for five minutes and turn around and walk back home.each week give yourself goals.. walk a little further .. once you master the walk, start power walking .. then next thing you know your body will want to jog and or run.. if you are at a gym then do your ten minutes at least four times a week.. the second week ramp it up to 15 and the next week 20 minutes..in six weeks you should be doing well with 30 minutes. go at the pace your body will let you go but dont be afraid to challenge yourself at any capacity..sometimes on the treadmill i will run for 30-60 seconds at 7 miles an hour just to see if i can do it. some day i hope to run 30 minutes at that speed .. right now im comfortable with mixing it up between 4-6 miles an hour for 30-60 minutes or two 30 minute cardio workouts0

I started feeling this way and I finally said to "heck" with this (but I didn't say heck hehe) I also said fudge alot, but I didn't say fudge. haha...
anyhow, I decided I 'm gonna do 3 healthy things for myself a day! Just to get healthier. Weight loss is a side effect of being healthier. Yea I want the weight off NOW! but, if I keep at it, it will come off before I know it.
Remember, everyone is different. What works for me may not work for you.
Just keep at it and the change will come. Be patient with yourself.0
