I didn't do this particular type but I did try it myself. if you do the 1660 calorie diet then no, this will not work. The HCG drops are to keep your metabolism going on the low calorie diet supposedly. It did work for me to help jumpstart the weight loss, but it was probably due to the lower calories itself.. I would take it back if you are not going to lower your calorie intake..

I'm glad it worked for you but I'm going to take them back...lowering my calorie any further than what I"m supposed to is not a good Idea...I wanna do this the healthy way and I know when I was pregnant I lost 20lbs. I thought this may have the same effect on me. But having the advise and the outlook of my peers I'm gunna listen and heed the advice =) thank you anyways

I know that Canada sells HCG.

HCG is legal for sale in Canada, but not as a weight loss product. I believe the same is true in the US.

"HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin) is authorized in Canada only for treatment of women with infertility, and only in an injectable form. There is no scientific evidence that the use of HCG either by mouth (as drops under the tongue, as advertised on the Internet) or as a self-administered injection, could promote weight loss.
When used to treat a condition for which it is not indicated, such as weight loss, Human Chorionic Gonatrophin could cause serious side-effects. In women this could include painful cysts occurring as the result of over-stimulation of the ovaries.

Human Chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) is listed on Schedule F of the Food and Drug Regulations and as such is considered a prescription drug in Canada. ...

Health Canada regulates the sale of prescription drugs. It does not regulate the the prescribing or use of medicines. Medicines are sometimes used off-label which means using the medicine for reasons other than what has been approved. A physician's decision to use a particular medication off-label for an individual patient is part of the "practice of medicine," and is regulated by the local provincial colleges of physicians and surgeons. Should Health Canada become aware of a safety issue related to off-label use, this will be assessed and appropriate regulatory action will be taken. "

I did 2 rounds of the injected HCG that I got from my Doctor written as a prescription and then filled at a natural compounding pharmacy in St Louis.

I was medically supervised through both rounds and lost 38 pounds last year that I was able to keep off by doing the plan as prescribed.

Since going back to my normal (Paleo) way of eating, I have been able to lose some more weight and have gotten off all medications.

I bought some of those drops to try for a third round and they did not work at all. I was hungry all the time where I was never hungry with the actual injection.

Just went to the store and bought some HCG drops.

    HCG.jpg

This is what I bought, and I haven't tried it yet. I've heard the hype about eating only 500 cals while taking this but I'm going to stick with MFP calorie diet..which is 1660 a day.

Should I take it back? Is it a waste of money?

I've done some research and people swear by this but I'm not doing the 500 cal thing...I wanna do this the healthy way, not starve my body of what its actually needs.

What you purchased is nothing more than a bunch of amino acids. I don't even understand why they put the HCG name on it because there is no HCG in the product.

    L-Glutamine
    L-Lysine
    L-Aspartic acid
    L-Glutamic acid
    L-Alanine
    L-Tyrosine
    L-Phenylalanine
    L-Asparaqine
    L- Glycine
    L-Isoleucine
    L-Histoine L Prohne
    L-Cysteine
    L-Arginine
    L-Valine
    L-Serine
    L-Threonine
    L-Leucine
    L-Methionine

Excellent idea to take them back - you can spend the money on a healthy treat!
The funniest thing about the image you posted is the the packet stated "hormone free". Considering HCG is a hormone, they are selling you hormone-free hormone drops! No wonder they don't work!
