Eating Fat Calories?

According to MFP I'm hitting my caloric goal with most coming from proteins & carbs but my fat intake is always low. I've always had a low-fat diet & I know the calculations aren't always so accurate but should I be trying to shift some of my calories to healthy fats? I'd rather eat the calories in protein than fat but is a low-fat diet ever NOT good?
Thanks, I'm a newbie so I'm still trying to figure it all out...!
