How to Keep it Of?

I have been battling with losing weight for months now, seeing minimal fat loss I have some questions. My maintenance of calories is 2986, and fat loss is 2389. I am 6 foot and 251 pounds I don't really understand cutting very well but I do know going below maint you will lose weight. I guess I really am looking to find out how people here are getting their weight loss goals accomplished.

For people who have been successful in weight loss what are some solid tips for a successful diet/plan this time around.

I workout 3-5 times a week usually chest bi/ legs shoulders traps/ back tri, then a cardio day after this 3 day cycle
