I think my problem has been over the years is confusion. Carbs, no carbs, fat no fat. Yesterday on the today show they had some one talking about boosting your energy. She that you shouldn't work out after after 3 becasue it could interfere with you sleep. Who has time to work out in the morning? If you look at "RED" when you work out you burn more calories and get a better workout!!!!! But the one that really got me was to eat Chia seeds. Like the Chia pet. so if you want to boost your energy grab your Chia Pet and have a snack. If you have a Scooby Chia, then have a Scooby snack. Ridiculous!

I would stick to the 'eat anything you want' diet if I were you. Just moderate the quantities.
No diet that says you shouldn't eat something ie fat, carbs, etc is worth following. The word diet should refer to what you eat every day for the rest of your life.
This site is good as it allows you to eat whatever you want but keep track of how it affects your potential to lose weight.

I just wanted to clarify something. The chia they are talking about is chia seeds. It has been around for thousand of years, even before the pets were thought of. Chia seeds do give you energy, very much UNLIKE caffeine. I use a brand called Health Warrior. It is awesome! I thought the idea of chia seed was ridiculous too, until I tried them. I am now addicted. HW is the most authentic brand out there. I get them on Amazon.com. I use 4 TABLESPOONS every morning with my steel cut oats. It is not pretty, since the seeds are dark. The seeds have a very mild light nutty flavor. It is a great way to start the day.
As far as eating, you have to do what is best for you. Not what the latest trend says you should do.
Happy New Year!0
