Fiber Supplements?

Hi all, I've read that supplementing your diet with extra fiber (Metamucil and Benefiber have packets you can add to water) helps with feelings of fullness to stave off hunger. Just wondering if anyone has tried this and/or if they have seen any positive (or negative) results? I usually eat a variety of foods and naturally incorporate fiber into my diet on my own but I was wondering what others may have experienced? Thanks in advance for the input!
