Low Sodium, High Protein, Low Carb Bfast

I need some ideas for breakfast that are low sodium, high protein, and low in carbs. I usually eat Kashi Go Lean High Protein, High Fiber cereal.....but it is also high carb. I just had a breakfast of scrambled egg with a little cheddar, and some turkey bacon. I knew going into this meal that it was high in sodium, but good lord, I didn't realize how much. It was half of my daily amount at 773! I need some new ideas, breakfast is my favorite, most important meal so I am willing to spend a little extra calories on breakfast and less on lunch.

I could use some great ideas as well. Right now for breakfast I drink the Atkins shakes...I am not necessarily trying to do a low carb diet but find that carbs are my main issue in some form or another...I have noticed the Atkins shakes do not have the lasting fullness that Slimfast offers....0

I haven't even thought of doing a shake, I think I need something to chew to satisfy me. I am not trying to do a "low car" diet as it is traditionally known, just trying to cut down a lot. I was going over on carbs everyday. I am just trying to not over do it on cereal, pasta, rice, and loaf bread. All my favorite things to eat. Oh and beer0

Since ive added sodium and cholesterol to my food diary they have gone through the roof on the readings so im wondering if the ingredient list is correct as i enjoy ham which was giving a ridiculous amount of sodium until i checked out the breakdown to discover sodium in the ham i use had been entered in grammes instead of milligrams0

I think everything I have put in has been close to correct. With my turkey bacon, when I looked at it in the store, I saw that the sodium was 135 mg for a serving, I thought that the serving size was 3 slices, seems like that is what it used to be. This morning when I was cooking it, I looked again, and it was 135 for one slice! If I had seen that in the store I wouldn't have purchased it.0 -
My go to breakfast is a hard boiled egg or 2 servings of egg substitute scrambles, a cup of berries or a couple of clementines and a slice of Ezekiel bread, usually the cinnamon raisin. 10 protein, 27 carbs, 5 fiber and under 200 calories.0
