NSV - I wear a size Small!

I started my weight loss journey in May 2011 weighing about 165 pounds, give or take a few pounds. At 5'4, I was very overweight. I fit into a size 10 or 12 women's pant and was typically a Medium or Large top, depending on the fit. It really bummed me out because just a few years ago (2006-2008) I was in college and 135 pounds and wearing a Medium or even Small sometimes.
I am celebrating now because I'm a true Small at lululemon, an athletic clothing store that I work at. Being a Small at an athletic apparel store is really exciting for me because I now wear the same size as the mannequins, but also because it isn't vanity sizing like other stores. A Small really is small!
I still can't believe it. I see my new size, and I see how the garment fits me, but I still see myself as being larger. For the longest time I was wearing a Medium at lululemon and all my co-workers were saying to me "I really think you're a Small". I just couldn't face it that I had actually shrunk that much. My boyfriend got me a nightgown for Christmas and it's a small, and I'm still swimming in it. I think it'll take awhile for me to start to really see my current size. But it makes me feel good to know that I went from a Large to a Small in less than a year. And that is way more important to me than any number on the scale, because I know I'm fit and healthy.

Thats amazing. And its true...Im the same way. I still see the 55lb larger me. The tag says 8 and 10..but I see me wearing a 16/18 still. The brain takes a while to catch up...I was overweight for 20 yrs.0

Congratulations! IIsn't it a weird feeling?
I've had the same experience. This year at Christmas my mom only bought me size small shirts cause I had been complaining that all of my clothes were too big and looked sloppy but as I sat opening all I could think was "these are never going to fit.. I'm going to have to return everything". But they all fit and they look good.
Still see myself as heavier than I am... Hopefully my mind will catch up soon!0
