Too funny I thought I was the only one who grocery shops with a calculator  I too do not take my husband or child with me otherwise there are cookies and little debbies in the cart. I will have to check out the once a month mom. I tend to do my meal planning by the week. I figure out what we will eat for 7 days and then shop from there. I would like to not have to go so often. It does cut down on your budget. I am fortunate enough to have a discount grocery in my town so I can buy most of my groceries there and not at the local chains. I stopped couponing because I spent way more than I saved plus I do not need 80 mustards just because I could get it for .15. nor do I have the room. Thanks for sharing the information.

hahahaha! I feel the SAME way!! I am thinking I need 2 calculators, 1 to add up my total and 1 to figure out the prices per lb!

Exactly that is what I am talking about. I love it when I see .99 per lb you just do not realize if you are talking apples that is about 1. Or my favorite is grapes they put them in bags that weigh about 3-4lbs advertise a low price per lb most people will think that each bag is 1lb. I actually got yelled at by the produce manager at Price Chopper because I was removing grapes from one bag and putting into another. I do not need 4lbs of grapes they would go bad before we ate them all.
