Yes I am addicted to cheese ... any shape, size, taste ... I love blue cheese, brie, goat's cheese, feta ... anything! Unlike most people I don't crave for chocolate, but I have a plate full of cheese in the fridge, left over from New Year's and Christmas. The thoughest challenge I found, was opening the fridge and seeing all that yumminess yet choosing cottage cheese for my lunch.
I thought of giving it away so that I lose the temptation, however, I have decided to keep it there, just as a challenge. So far I did not touch it, and I find that I am not even tempted by it ...
I guess, eventually it will have to go to a good home, as I wouldn't want it to go off...
Anyone else has any guilty pleasures that they had to give up when deciding to lose weight?

I am french and a cheese addict myself. I go 3 times a year to France to take care of my dad and always comes back with a minimum of 15lbs of cheese in my suitcase (I pick the ones that freeze well) so I always have a supply on hand. Cheese is full of calcium and good for you in moderation and I learned moderation. I also make my own baguettes and eat it in moderation with the cheese. I will never give up my cheese, lol...Giving up a food you love makes you want it even more and you are bound to binge. In my weight loss journey I have not given up anything, not even wine but I am very strict with my portion control (except over the holidays,) I do not feel like I am on a diet because I am not, I am on a new healthy lifestyle for the rest of my life. I have posted before/after pictures at the following link.

Since I am so addicted to cheese I even got a cheese platter as Christmas present from my partner ...
I do like my lager as well and I can drink A LOT! So for me this weight loss journey would be about cutting everything to the minimum in the first instance, then make sure I am strict with my portions.
I must admit I never thought of freezing cheese ... maybe I should hide my buddies in the freezer for the future.0 -
Have you tried Cabot's 75% fat free sharp cheddar?
I just bought some on sale at harris teeter. It seems like it would be better than using regular.0 -

I live in England ... I am trying the lighter choices of cheddar that are available here, however I am not sure I found something with 75% fat free.0
