Ever see those labels on your fruits and vegetables? They are call PLU (Product Look Up) codes and tell the cashier if you are buying a MacIntosh or a Honey Crisp.
I was thinking of adding my fruits in with those codes, using 100 gram values (so you can do easy fraction entry latter. I was going to get the data from http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/.
Would this be helpful to other people?

Absolutely. The difference in calories between a macintosh and honey crisp apple can make or break your weight loss goals.0

Should the name or the PLU come first?
Or should I enter it like PLU 3107 - ORANGE, Navel, Medium
What is the best way to name these entries?0
