So, I think I saw a thread like this a while back, but thought I'd start a new one..

For those that have had success in this journey, what are some of the unexpected results that you have seen since you have lost your weight?

For me, an unexpected result is that my SHOES are too big. :noway:

Really... my shoes.

Not really expecting that.. I was expecting my clothes to get too big (and I'm loving that, by the way).. but my SHOES?! Didn't realize I had that much extra fat in my FEET! :ohwell:

Was walking down the hallway at work today and noticed that my shoes are kinda sliding around on my feet.. guess I'll have to buy some new ones along with those size 8/10 pants I'm starting to fit into.. :drinker:

anyway..

Anything unexpected happen to you????

Thanks! I'm excited.. haven't been in these babies for a LONG time.. :drinker:

I'm totally there with you on the freezing thing too!!!
guess I've lost a big layer of fat, so I'm not as insulated... :ohwell:

Looking forward to not sweating to death this summer!
My hubby and I were always fighting over where to set the air conditioning thermostat - I was always hot and he's always cold (he's always been thin and never had a weight problem :grumble: )... Maybe there will be a little more peace in the house this year!

I HOPE my boobs get small! Biggest change I notice so far is my face (rather, the biggest change everyone ELSE notices). Why do we lose fat off our faces first and not our butts or stomach!? Very cruel.

Ya, I freeze all the time now too....what's up with that??!! I used to ALWAYS be shorts and flip flops...12 months a year....this year I have had to wear coats and pants, which I HATE, and run a heater to stay warm...that is just messed up.....but I am SOOOOOOOO loving the results because of it :blushing:

I second the freezing and the shoes, never relized the shoes though til you just said something...I was at work the other day sunday and I am a waitress and my socks keep bunching up at my arch because my feet kept sliding around and I wear the same type of shoes and socks everytime I serve....Thats too funny....

and talk about freezing my husband always says hunny can you turn the heater down especially in the car u are roasting me to death..and during the summer I would alway have to have thermostat on like 68 and he runs his own air conditioning company and he put a thermostat on that he could lock so I could not get it down that low, guess he can unlock it this year wont need it as much.....

    Great post....

 depending on how much you are starting with, that can be a good, or a bad, thing..

I had a little *ahem* extra to lose there.. so I'm not too upset about that part.. :embarassed:

Yeah, why can't we 'choose' where it comes off?

I wouldn't have picked my feet.. and I'd definitely like more off my waist!

I started out at 38D, I'm ok with being smaller, they match the rest of me, but I would have liked to stay a C cup. I'm a 34B now. :ohwell:

I've been walking on the treadmill at an incline and now notice when I go out to do the errands I definitaly feel the individuality of each rear cheek. It's so funny. It feels higher and seperate. Almost like a mind of it's own. An extra left and right brain. lol

I agree with the freezing and the shoes, but I'm not happy about my rings. My rings are sliding around my fingers.

But, I'll take it anyway.

Just thought of another thing.. this is good/bad at the same time... and I can't say it's completely unexpected, but anyway..

I wear my HRM to workout. In the beginning, doing my step class and my zumba classes (totally addicted, BTW).. I would burn anywhere from 600 - 700 calories in an hour..

as I've lost weight and gotten more FIT.. I now have to KILL myself to burn 500 - 600... :grumble:
My heart rate recovery is SO much faster and I really have to work a lot harder (with more intensity, etc) to get my heart rate up... :ohwell:

just another reason I  my HRM. (Polar F6)

The most 'unexpected' result I've had since I started living healthier is that people say I have more color. Apparently I look good in red and my cheeks have been perma blushed since I started working out. Haha. Weirdness.

I may end up with a little more cash now.

    Um... maybe I should explain.

I'm now testing for my Personal Training certificate. And while I have no desire to make it my full time gig. I wouldn't mind 2 or 3 sessions a week. Throw an extra 100 bucks in the ole wallet!

Too bad I'm in Ohio and you're in Mass... I'd help add to that moola..
Personal Training from Banks would be a treat!

I've lost 7 lbs since I got my engagement ring back in November. My ring size went from a 7 to a 6.

Shoes, ring size, face, boobs, and now I have a super flat butt! I used to wear a size 11 shoe and now I wear a 9-10. Also, increased acne for me  Hopefully my dermatologist appointment will help with that next week! Oh, and I can believe how much more outgoing, talkative, and confident I am! Oh, and I enjoy healthy things way more than I do sweets and junk food! YES!
  • My face lost alot of weight. So did my waist. I'm down to 27 inches. Surprisingly my boobs stayed 34D. I wish they got smaller like the rest of my body!

awesome everyone!! It's so nice to hear all of the fun and cool things that are happening to everyone.. Thanks everyone for sharing!!

ok.. I can't believe I'm going to talk about this one.. :embarassed:

a few nights ago, I stumbled into the bathroom in the middle of the night.. sat down..
stood up in a flash b/c I thought my husband had left the seat up and I was about to fall in...

turns out, the seat was down, but my 'smaller' tush felt really different on the seat..
I could have sworn I was about to fall in...

I know... makes you wonder about me a bit doesn't it..

the bottom line here (haha.. pun intended) is that there is more to losing weight than just a smaller dress size and looking good in a bathing suit (but those are a definite plus)...
it affects all aspects of our life.. I think it's really awesome!

ok.. anyone else have any stories they want to share, embarrassing or otherwise?!?! :drinker:

LOL, yeah I'd love to get smaller boobs. People keep telling me I will but oddly, when I lost 35 pounds last time that was the one thing that didn't shift AT ALL!!!

No, I think it's the neck measurements and my face getting skinner. Firstly I didn't realise just how pudgy my face had become (heck, I look at it everyday!) and secondly I remember doing measurements for the first time and my most significant loss was off my neck!!! How annoying is that??? It's not my neck I want in a mini-skirt!!!
