NEW to the gym & terrified of my new personal trainer!

I signed up at the local fitness center yesterday after work with a friend, Kristy. We were sitting in my classroom and decided that it would be a good idea to start going together to be work out buddies. Well, my God brother just so happens to work there as a personal trainer and I am scared shi*less! I tell him while we are texting, "Just don't kill me please!" His response was, "We won't kill you, just tip toe on the boundaries of it." I am terrified but I am sooooooooo EXCITED! I can't wait to feel the burn and be sore and most of all, to see the changes that are going to happen to my body once the workouts kick in. =) I am ready to start this New Year's Resolution and push through with it. My goal is 20 pounds by Valentines Day. I think that is realistic. =) That is 6 weeks. That is about 3 pounds a week. =) If I can hit 30 pounds and lose 5 pounds a week that will be AWESOME!! Wish me luck!!

    You are going to LOVE it! You'll be amazed at what you're capable of doing! There is NO way I'd be able to motivate myself to do all what my trainer makes me do on my own. I can't count how many times I've said "You want me to do WHAT?"

    Oh, yes. I call mine my "Personal Torturer". You WILL be UNBELIEVABLY sore and it WILL feel great!

  • Thanks! I know, that is the main reason why I decided to do it with a friend and with a trainer. I want to do things but I never really actually do and so this will really help me. I am sure once I do start things and gettting used to it that I will be able to do things on my own. Can't wait. =)
