I'm very proud of myself. My wife and I decided that we wanted to have lasagna this week, so I went and bought all the ingredience, now mind you, I bought the GOOD version of all the ingredience. Granted the sodium was a little high, but what can you do... here's the nutritional info.

the recipe is just a basic lasagna recipe you can get from anywhere. Here is the stuff I used.
generic whole wheat lasagna noodles
fat free ricotta cheese
Healthy Choice pasta sauce (traditional)
extra garlic (mmmmm) and onions
Part Skim, low moisture mozarella cheese
and
99% lean ground turkey
I must say, twas delicious! See, you don't have to eat twigs and berries to lose weight!
Oh, if you make it, it's in the food database, search on Generic Whole wheat lasagna and it'll come up.

lasagna is the BEST!
i made some over a week ago and freezed most of it according to serving size. i got the recipe from cookinglight.com and its called garden-style lasagna. took forever (2 hours, lots of veggies to cut and cook first) but it was totally worth it. granted, it had no meat and the sodium was higher than expected, but i thought i would share :flowerforyou:

local grocerie store. You can get em all at Stop and Shop probably, or Shaws. Not sure, as I don't shop there, but I'm sure they have it all. Most of that stuff is pretty common. You might have a little trouble finding whole wheat lasagna noodles, but they aren't that rare so...0 -

Oh really.0 -
Yea, lasagna is so adaptable... I actually make one with meat, but no cheese - some would say what is the point, but being lactose intolerant, and still able to eat something that tastes like lasagna is pretty awesome.
I use grated tofu..0 -
I love spinach lasagna, in a creamy white sauce.

you could totally add meat to it. i think maybe turkey sausage would do the trick. i bet some red sauce would be yummy in it too, just to kick it up a bit.0 -
