Diet Pills or anything else

Is anyone using any sort of diet pill or anything else to help lose weight in addition to exercising and logging your food? I watched Dr Oz yesterday with Montell Williams and they were talking about Safflower. It doesn't help lose weight but it takes inches off your waist. So I was interested if anyone was using anything?

Come on now, there is a magic supplement that magically takes inches off your waist? Surely you know Dr Oz is a quack and should not be listened to for advice, right?0 -

I completely agree. I don't know who Dr. Oz is, but I see a lot of people use him as a reference and ever single time it's for some quackery or other. I've never heard of him giving reasonable advice.
There isn't an easy way to lose weight or take inches off your waist and there never will be. Diet and exercise are it and both take dedication and hard work.0 -
I saw that and it was very minimal if any thing that that does! Waste of $ in my opinion! Also, Montel said he works out and eats healthy so...
I'd skip it and just eat healthy , with in your cal allowance and get more moving in!0 -
Amen to all of the above.. Nothing works like hard work. Nothing.0

sure there is stuff that can supress ur diet or burn fat... most shelf/supplements store products are over priced and packed for "fit" people... in a sense if u took a high dose of something and did cardio on top of that it would put waaay too much strain on ur heart as even long walks are difficult for some...
then there is natural weightloss aids like green tea and (truly one of my faves that i use) Cold pressed extra virgin olive oil! both help but its nothing where u start taking it n u go OMFG look at how much i lost!
then there is more "hardcore" stuff that are stacks n u cant buy ready product in store... again more for fit people ECA stack, T3, Clen, n list goes on...0 -
I Googled that and here's what I found. http://www.huliq.com/10061/dr-ozs-2012-weight-loss-and-health-programsSafflower oil as a way to burn fat: Dr. Oz lists the benefit of safflower oil after reviewing the results of one small medical study that measured results in women past menopause with diabetes. Oz cautions that safflower oil capsules should not be taken as a result of the study, but for those with belly fat, using safflower oil in place of other vegetable oils is a good way to start.
Safflower oil is a healthy fat so switching to using it for cooking or dressings is unlikely to hurt you. But I wouldn't expect your waist to start magically shrinking because of it.0 -
At one point I was desperate, and tried appetite supressants. Scared the *kitten* out of me when my heart started pounding like crazy and I got all light headed. Stopped me cold.
Way back, like 16 years ago, my ex doctor prescribed me that bad stuff, phen-phen or whatever. I didn't fill the prescription because that month I discovered I was pregnant with my first child. I thank God I never took it, people died, others, kidney failure, etc.
I will never ever try anything but diet and exercise. Just my personal feeling.0 -
No magic pills out there. I wish there were, but then everyone would be thin. I even saw a commercial for a diet patch, but all of it is either not safe and definitley doesn't work. It comes down calories in and calories out.0

I & friends use Lipo 6 for women, and they really help suppress my appetite and gives me a boost of energy needed for my work outs. I like them because they don't make me feel cracked out like other diet pills have seem to do. They aren't miracle pills but if used correctly they've helped a friend of mine reach her weight loss goal (which was 60lbs). Check them out0

they say no magic pills but there are things to help you if you're really struggling. I ate healthy with occasional cheat meals here and there and worked out HARD 6 days a week but wasnt losing anything. went to a dietician at UCLA to find i had a very abnormally slow metablosim and needed help beyong my control. he prescribed be phentermine, which some people freak out about because its associated with phen fen but its the part of it that was still healthy and legal, and this isnt a magic pill in the sense u can eat like crap and not work out. but along with my healthy diet, and working out- i started the pill last thursday and have lost 7 lbs and it hasnt even been a week. i think it gave me the push i needed to get over the platuea and now its just falling off, so i do believe in things out ther,e but its not a permanent solution and you are still doing 90% of the work!0
