Hey, I'm sure some of you read the article this weekend in NYT Mag about weight loss. 95% gain back weight? When I read the article all the study's they sighted we're conducted with participants who lost their weight very quickly. Don't you think that is why their bodies went into starvation mode? With MFP I have lost weight slowly, over 1 1/2 years at this point. I don't think I ever went into starvation mode. I have every confidence I will keep the weight off. I don't even feel like I'm dieting at all. Just made changes. Did anyone else read the article?

Yes, I read it -- it's here for anyone who hasn't read it: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/01/magazine/tara-parker-pope-fat-trap.html?_r=1
I am also curious as to whether those who have lost weight more slowly have had a different experience. Or even whether any who have lost weight quickly, with severe calorie restriction, have felt that their metabolism "normalized" at any point.0
