In the past, I've slacked on my protien, and traditionally gotten hungry relatively soon.
So I started eating more protien, and the 'hungry quick' went away, but I've noticed it still comes once in awhile.
Yesterday I had a protein bar w/ 30 g's protein, and about 2 hrs later I was hungry again...what is the deal?!
Any ideas?
Thanks!!

fiber and beans if your not getting those they really curb my hunger:drinker: ..I think a nice bowl of lentils will keep u much fuller longer than a protein bar.

    And much more gas-y! :)

Seriously though, I  beans! They do wonders for keeping you full and they really good for you. LOADED with fiber! I toss them in soups and salads all the time!

Random fact of the day ~ Lentils have a TON of fiber, protein AND iron! They're awesome for you!

Just keep the Gas X near by! :)

Are you making sure to drink at least 8 ounces of water with your protein bars? I find that this keeps me full for around 3 hours, but if I slack on the water then I get a little pang...

a protein bar with 30 grams of protein typically is about 220 cals?

it is not out of line to need more fuel 2 hours after taking on 220 cals if your metabolism is ramped up

    it is good thing

eat some more in line with that amount of cals and of course the water
