HI! I started FitPal on february 23rd and am excited about how simple it is to record the food i eat! I am doing well so far. It is easy to see how something like eating Fast food for lunch one day affects the fat and calories so dramatically! I have only gone over once! I am surprised actually how healthy I eat, I just end up eating too Much of what I do eat. With the portions laid out in front of me it is apparent that I have been eating more than I should, and easier for me to stop eating as much as I did.

I'm hoping I can keep up the food diary. I really wish I could ADD food from my phone. I can look things up but not add them. :(

  • Good for you! Welcome to the club. I too started last week and I've dropped 2 lbs :) I find it so simple to be in control, when I'm kept accountable for every bite I put in my mouth. But here's a tip...if you exercise and 'earn' calories, make sure you use them. You dont want to deprive your body of too many calories or it goes into starvation mode (slows down metabolism). You'll do fine! Keep it up!

    Welcome!

I joined about a month ago and have found this a great support. I have lost 13 pounds and am half way to my goal.

The best to you in your journey!

Portion control has ALWAYS been my issue. Believe me though, it will get easier.
