i started replacing 2 meals and a snack per day with fresh fruit and veggie juices. The problem is that when I juice an apple, I count it as a whole apple - 55 calories for a small, red, gala apple. However, i'm only consuming the juice so how many calories am i really drinking? This goes the same for oranges, pineapples, blueberries, strawberries, etc. How much am I really consuming? Does anyone out there know and can they break it down for me?
Thanks guys. You're the best :flowerforyou:

looked this up and found some interesting info. if you are using a juice extractor (like me) and not a citrus press, then you take the fiber in the fruit itself and multiply it by 4 since there are 4 calories in 1 gram of fiber. subtract this number from the total calories and there you have it!!! doubt it will be spot in since you may not get ALL of the juice extracted but this makes a huge difference for me and my caloric intake for the day.0
