anyone else looking into (or already done) one of the tough mudder races this year?! i'm thinking about doing the one either in tahoe in september or colorado in june. would love some ideas for how to prepare for the event and maybe even get a big MFP group together for the race to celebrate all our efforts in getting healthy and have TONS of fun while we're at it!!!

check out the website for the race. watch the video on the homepage and tell me that's not something that you want to be able to say that you were a part of!!!! : )

I'm pre-registered for Austin Tough Mudder in November. I have some friends doing Beaver Creek in June. Was tempted to head up there but I'm moving that month and there's just no way I'll be free.

I've registered for Warrior Dash which is kinda similar and there is a group for Warrior Dash, they even have cardio and strength training pdf's you can print off from the website....

I'm also into the Warrior Dash. I'd be interested in the tough mudder if it weren't for you know, being electrocuted in water :P

The electrocution, the idea of being hit with 10k volts is frightening, but with thousands of people doing it, I'm sure it's not that bad. Plus, what's the worse that can happen? The company that organizes it, isn't going to purposely hurt people. It's a mental challenge more than anything.

    Amps kill. Not volts.

Plus...I've never been shocked. Gotta check that block.

I'm not worried about being killed. I just don't want to get shocked! I have been shocked bad before and it is not fun nor something I would want to do willingly :P The rest looks bad *kitten* though. The ice bath one looked killer.
  • i just signed up for the one in PA in May hope thats enough time to get strong enough... geeze that loooks fun!
