Does anyone have a favorite Diet book?? For some reason I love reading these. I don't always actually do them but I like to be in the know of the latest fad.
My latest favorite is How the Rich Get Thin by Jana Klauer, MD
Klauer's diet plan isn't revolutionary, but her approach is noteworthy. The author, a research fellow at St. Luke's–Roosevelt Hospital with a practice on Park Avenue, has a clientele comprising primarily successful businessmen and -women, "ladies who lunch" and celebrities—people with the drive to do whatever it takes to succeed, in the boardroom, in social circles or on the gym floor. They understand and practice Klauer's "nonnegotiables": daily exercise, the consumption of protein and calcium, the management of food cravings and the elimination of processed food.
She has a jump start three day eating plan that I actually DID try and it worked really well even though it was just water weight. I lost 6 pounds in three days. Good when you have a special event coming up!

South Beach and Sonoma have good recipes that are clean and really good. Clean Eating the magazine is great too. I don't follow either of them to a T as neither of them are revolutionary, but the recipes alone make it worth the purchase. Also, the basic concepts are what all popular nutrition plans emphasize these days. Clean eating, lean protein, unsaturated fats, complex carbohydrates, unprocessed food. Like I said, nothing groundbreaking but worthy reads.0

Also forgot to mention Tom Venuto's Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle book. VERY worthy and accepted, but perhaps too strict for many people.0
