Q. - how can I lose weight if I have to eat my calorie goal AFTER i have added in my exercise?

Surely the calories I burn from training will help me lose the weight if I eat my daily goal (pre exercise) of 1500 calories?

Anything under 1200 net is unhealthy. When you signed up you put in a goal (lose 1 or 2 lbs a week) and your daily calorie goals are based on that number, the deficit is already built in.

IF you have a daily goal of 1500 (same as mine) and do my work-out today (1 hour of running at 6mph) you would only eat 900 calories. That is too little to properly fuel your diet and your life. It is also setting you up for failure as your metabolism starts to slow (you eat that little and don't feel hungry) or you end up binging later on when your body realizes how gnarley the deficit is.

Slow and steady wins the race.
  • Brilliant! Thankyou! I couldn't quite get my head around the "burn" calories to eat up "again"

i am just recovering from a cold and appetite returning hence my calorie deficit looking awful at the moment!

I can remedy this for real using this online tool.
