HR monitors and arrhythmia

Anyone with arrhythmia (and taking medications) and using HRM during workouts? I've always wondered if the calories burned data is flawed because of the drugs slowing down your heart beats....

This is a really good question. At what point does the HRM say "this isn't right."
Someone explained to me that I should measure resting calories burned from doing nothing (watching TV or something like that) and then subtract those calories from the calories that I burn when working out. and THAT should be my actual calories burned.
(I don't do that because I need something really dumbed down if I'm gonna use it often).0 -
This IS a great question. I would think if your heart beat is beating less frequently (medication or not) that you are burning few calories. But that is just an uneducated guess.0
