More questions about water

I just started on Sunday at this site and have been drinking my water religiously! A question... before I started making this effort to eat more healthy and lose some weight, I was drinking pretty much only diet coke as my only beverage. I cut back to one can of diet coke per day since Sunday. Thankfully, my body has been kind to me and I haven't had much caffeine withdrawal. My question - since I have been drinking more water, I have been SUPER thirsty! Yesterday I drank 128 oz. (16 cups) of water, without trying - I just was thirsty! Is this normal?

Yes, I agree with Realta. I think your body begins to crave the good stuff (pure water). Also writer4 him, check to see how much sodium you are ingesting daily. Perhaps this could be a contributing factor to your thirst.
