Round 2

Hi all! I'm 34 and live in AZ with my hubby of 14 years and our two boys (14 & 6). I've pretty much been overweight my whole life. My parents passed down bad eating habits along with bad genes. I finally decided to do something about my weight 3 years ago after my mom almost died from her 3rd heart attack. She finally had a pace maker put in (at 51!). That was my wake-up call. Diabetes runs in my family so my parents as well as myself have it. I have borderline so it's controlled by diet. Well, at 240 pounds, I certainly wasn't watching what I was eating. I saw what my mom went through (she's also blind in one eye from diabetes complications) and realized that would be me in 20 years if I didn't start getting healthy. I was feeling tired all the time and just old! My ankles, knees andback hurt and I didn't have the energy to play with my toddler. I needed to make a change asap.
I went to a local weight loss clinic and started on a dr. supervised program. It was awesome and I lost 43 pounds in about 8 months. Although I wasn't to my goal weight, I was pretty close. For the first time in my life I felt sexy and confident. Unfortunately, I've gained the weight back over the last couple of years. I'm a comfort eater and we went through a few stressful situations and my weight crept right back to where it was originally.
I'm so disappointed that I was unable to keep the weight off. I now know what my triggers are and hope to lose the weight for good! I started up with the same program as before and have lost 9 pounds so far. I'm motivated and hope to see a steady decline on the scale.
