I have worked in a gym for years before working in New York.. So if anyone wants some tips be sure to ask!

Welcome! 5K's are fun. WHen is it? You should be able to train for it in about 6 weeks to really feel confident.

    Welcome to MFP!!! :flowerforyou:

As an asthmatic, outta shape, nonrunning, smoker I can truly say that the Couch 2 5k is an awesome program. Due to asthma, I'm taking my dear sweet time with it, but it works. I'm up to week 5.
  • Thanks for all the welcomes.. I was an athlete in High school so I am hoping the program will get me back to wear I was.. as far as working int he gym I worked the desk so I saw everyone working out while I would jsut sit there... from my observation for many years.. I have notices using light weightts and doing mroe reps seems to be the best way to get nice arms but not too bulky.. I also know that Yoga skulps you whole body!..

    Hi Megan,

Welcome! I love 5Ks. I usually only do one a year so it's not like I have a ton of experience with them but I'd like to get involved in a few more. I've started the couch to 5K program, but did not finish.
