What is a serving of..?

When you say a cup of rice? How many is that?

Its pretty vague to me most of the time. I think prefer it when they refer it to grams. Do you have a reference for this?

    A cup is a standard measurement used in the US because we are too special to use the system of measurement that the other 6.5 billion people in the world use. It's about 130 grams.

    Wow! Thank you you have been very helpful. I think ill buy a mini weighing scale. Ive noticed that the cups here are so varied. I need o standardized my own diet. If you dont mind me asking where did you get the weight. Id love to try that on other foods as well

    The weights of a cup of something will vary - it all depends on what's in the cup! Standard US cup measures are fairly cheap to buy from various Internet sites
