Hi there!
I am very curious about the raw food diet and I am open to hearing any opinions on the diet. I am attracted to it because it emphasizes clean, healthy foods and takes the emphasis off of calorie counting. So... to try raw or not to try raw?
To be more specific I am looking at the 80-10-10 diet, in which you eat mostly fruit, and also vegetables, nuts, and seeds. Thanks for sharing any ideas!!

It's good, try it. I've eaten every way, take what works and make it work for me. Green smoothies r the best.0

I'm also interested in this! I have been drinking green smoothies as well. One I found interesting was on ABC news.http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Weekend/story?id=8052138&page=1#.TwdThNSXS8A
I have also been interested in obtaining a food dehydrator, as many raw recipes call for them.0 -
http://www.choosingraw.com/ has many (but not exclusively) raw recipes, good luck!0

I don't know a whole lot about it, but I will say that, in the interest of weight loss, your best bet is to continue calorie counting. You could eat all clean and super healthy foods all the time, but still be overweight if you happen to be overeating those healthy, clean foods.0

My ex-nanny went raw while she worked for us. She initially lost about 20 lbs and then stopped losing. I think she was more focused on eating raw than losing weight. I will say her food was yummy but VERY high in fat. She used lots of nuts in everything. That and dried fruit, which is high-calorie.
It seems pretty natural though! As another poster said, just keep counting.0
