Today I was telling him about this website and how great it is that you can track your food and exersize, and have support from other people, and he asked me to see where he was at on the BMI tracker (he is 6'2'' and 240 pounds) so he has a little bit to lose even though he looks great to me. He said we should- for a week- we should each spend an hour on the bike and do like sit ups and curls and stuff, and only drink water, and at the end see how we feel and check our progress. I know that after a week we will def see a bit of improvment, and hopefully keep him motivated.
This is huge for me because I need someone to do this with, and I know thats sort of what this website is for, to encourage each other. But just to have him there with me and we can do it together, is just wonderful.

Congrats on your husband joining you! My husband joined me two weeks after I started. It is great as we are both encouraging each other and seeing real results. He has swapped the beer for the occasional glass of wine, we walk more and are really enjoying this journey. So good luck and keep us posted
Oh and btw - we have both lost about 17lbs and as a result freinds and work mates have also joined MFP!

Thats meeeeelol, My hubby signed up 2 days ago and he is more strict with his calorie input than i am lol!!!
Its better to have someone doing it along side you, Makes things much easier and makes him realise why im always looking at calories on things!!

My husband is on board with healthier eating and more exercise, but he doesn't like the idea of logging things and counting calories. He's actually very good at monitoring his food intake during the day, he only really struggles in the evening, so hopefully I can help him get through those all right.
He got a haircut the other day (used to have long hair) and had to joke that he's already lost a stone0
