Stop Eating at Night?

Hi,

I'm looking for suggestions on how to stop eating at night. Nearly every night I wake up around 1:30 or so and go downstairs and eat. last night it was twice! Unfortunately, I don't always make the best choices at that time because I'm too tired, and plus my motivation is low cause I'm half asleep.

Anyone have this problem and any suggestions on how to stop it?

Thanks

Chris

Sometimes if you keep healthy snacks by your bed you are more inclined to eat those rather than to go downstairs and be tempted by all of the other unhealthy food. You could also make sure you get your workout in as soon as you wake up to burn off those extra calories. However, calories in and calories burned is what counts toward your weightloss. Keep that in mind as you eat and exercise the rest of the day.

What time do you stop eating each day? Perhaps you could save some of your calories for later, before bedtime, so that you aren't hungry at night.

Keep in mind that, contrary to popular belief, when you eat has no bearing on weight loss. Here's some info: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/390149-should-i-eat-at-night

How much are you typically eating in a given day? Can you open your diary? Maybe you're genuinely hungry. Sometimes the body knows better than the brain.
