A Balanced Breakfast - does it mean anything to you?

Have any of you realized how important a balanced breakfast is? When I say balanced, I mean good protein and maybe some veggies rather only plain (or mostly) carbs?
I have practiced healthy eating on and off, but only now I've finally realized that if I don't overdo with carbs for breakfast, the entire day I feel like flying!
It seems that after a high protein breakfast, I can make much better choices later on in the day. If I try to eat a so called healthy oatmeal for breakfast, I am hungry in an hour! So, the breakfast that's made of healthy ingredients apparently in my dictionary is totally unhealthy if it's out of nutritional balance. What do you think about this?

Doesn't really matter, since breakfast is a personal preference and doesn't even need to be eaten0 -

[/quote]No breakfast, fruit breakfast, any other variation breakfast... tried it all. You are right that it's a personal preference what to eat. But it's not always a choice how you feel after eating the certain foods, and that's what I am talking about.

What works for you, works for you. Do that.0 -

I like to eat a lot of protein; eggs, turkey bacon or sausage, ham, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, etc and follow it about an hour or so later with a fruit carb. It seems I can stay full for around 4 hours if I do it that way. If I over carb at breakfast, I WILL starve later in the day. I just can't do veggies at breakfast though, I make sure I add extra at lunch and dinner, though.0
