Feels like quitting smoking all over again...

The first week of trying to change my lifestyle to a lower calorie intake is over, and I feel like I am trying to quit smoking again . I am cranky, moody, and constantly think about what I would like to eat and what I should eat instead. I feel like I am about to freak out. It does not help that I only have a part time job and spend at least four days a week at home, where my pantry and fridge is only a short walk away. I have plenty of healthy things in both,but also some junkfood (which I can't throw out as my husband eats that kind of stuff and gets mad when I get rid of it) and it seems when I look in the pantry or fridge the junkfood is telling me "eat me" *lol*. How do you get over that "bad mood" syndrome?
I am partly afraid that I will grab a cigarette again to calm my nerves (it has only been a bit over 2 months for me to stop smoking) and then both resolutions are out the window. Just looking for some ways that might work for you.

I felt the same way, quitting smoking for me was relatively easy by comparison to moderating what i shovel into my body. My mom said it best when she told me you need to eat to live. You dont need to smoke.
Your body will be getting rid of toxins that the junk food provided it. After the first couple of weeks my cravings went down and my overall well being seemed to increase. Drink lots of water and maybe take up jogging, it will take your mind off things. Stay strong!0 -
