Am totally battling a case of the muncies at the moment.
I'm not hungry, just ate an uber filling lunch, it's purely an "I want" moment.

  • drink water...take a walk. and then re-evaluate your hunger status.
give yourself 20 mins. before you eat again.

I love this advice. It's really good. I also remind myself that it's a temporary thing and go do something else... And then when I get through it, I feel amazing about myself!

personally I pack veggies chopped into small pieces so that I can munch all day (like currently I'm nawing on bite sized pieces of celery). I always get the mental munchies! Helps me to have the veggies around all the time. (oh and ditto on the lots of water!)

Chew gum. I probably go through 5 pieces of gum a day at work. I will chew for a while to surpass the hunger. Pop in another piece. Gives a burst of flavor. This helps..even if most of it is mental to me.

Mentally, I know what to do and I'm still holding strong.
It's just a constant battle with myself at the moment....grrrrr.
