What happens if you don't eat all of your calories?

I am very new at this - started on Sunday. MFP gave me 1260 calories per day as my goal. On Sunday, went over by about 140, but then on Monday, I was under by 140, and yesterday I was under by 240. Today, somehow I ate exactly 1260 calories (and right now my stomach is growling and I wish I could eat more!) The days I was under, I was full (but I also ate healthier things). Do things just kind of balance out over time, or is it really bad to let those unconsumed calories go?

you really shouldn't go under 1200 although doing it one day every once in a great while won't bring your metabolism to a screeching halt. for the most part, eating over one day and under the next works fine for me although you need to be very careful with that to not go under 1200.0

Preplanning and spreading your meals out throughout the day say every couple hours do a mini meal might help you with the hunger and the preplanning can help you to keep your cals pretty consistantly on target:drinker:0 -
