This easter, my family are all getting told very clearly that the new rules are:

NOBODY IS TO BUY MY CHILDREN EASTER EGGS except THE EASTER BUNNY

They will be told that If they do, it will go straight in the bin, right in front of the kids, and then they will be responsible for making my kids cry on easter day.

Last year once the kids were in bed i weighed up all the cheap rubbish chocolate that my kids were given (not including what they ate during the day), and it was over 5kg (11 pound) for a 4 year old and a 2 year old... stupid amount. i was going to throw it in the bin, but MIL salvaged it and took it to a nursing home. But there is no way that is happening this year. If they want to do something to celebrate, they can buy them a colouring in book or some other small toy or gift... my kids don't need to eat that much chocolate.

and no way i'm keeping it to give out over the next 6 months. so i just kept the quality chocolate and allowed them to eat that over the following weeks, and the cheap stuff was out.
