Ok my question is how do I avoid eating pizza when I make them and work at a pizza place?
I love italian food, and pizza is my big thing my question is how do I avoid pizza so that I avoid as much greasy food as possible. Please someone help me! I want to lose weight, but I don't want my love for pizza to get in the way of that. I will take any tips thank you.

I just couldn't work at a pizza place...oh my. The only thing you can do is practice willpower. To me, though, that's like a drug addict working in a cocaine factory!0

Maybe dab the grease off with a towel?0

Im opposite. When I was a teenager I worked at Armadillos. After a while I couldnt stand the smell of those types of food any more. Sorry I couldnt help. My fingers just started typing thinking of that memory. lol0

Would it be possible to make a healthier version of your pizza? I also love pizza, and I make them at home with toast, pita, tortilla, home made crust... what I have available basically. I top them with veggies, meat and a little bit of any satisfying cheese. I find the low fat cheeses just make the pizza less "real" and then I am not getting the craving taken care of.
I have also had some very thin crust pizzas from the frozen section that are pretty good0 -
Thats just torture.
I also work around food. I sell snacks and restaurant food at a golf course. It's hard to resist sometimes(I used to LOVE french fries)... i just allow myself to eat within my calorie limit and sometimes bring my own snacks. I also try to keep busier so I don't want to eat too much.0 -
I would start bringing in Savory snacks. I find that, when around sweets, having a sweet snack curbs the cravings. Maybe some pita and hummus?0

I've cooked for about 12yrs, the place i'm at now gives us free meals every day. In the past year I've eaten there 3x. Eggs and rye toast the past 3 days.
I always bring my own food, more often a smoothie. Being there half the day, i put 600-1000 calories in it, that way I know what i'm intaking. The odd time I have something little, but when Christmas comes around, or they want me to try a dessert or something, I don't.
The only person making you eat it is you.
Food isn't all its cracked up to be.
Unlesss you're talkin white chocolate.0 -

I would would make the pizza as low calorie as possible? Veggies, no meat, low fat cheese, thin crust, little amount of sauce and only have a few pieces? Keep trying to till you find what works for you, good luck.0

I agree with the idea of making your own healthier version at home. I've been doing this for years and I usually prefer my version to the kind at restaurants...unless I'm seriously craving grease or something. My kids also prefer the ones I make at home. I use a flax whole wheat dough, and make the crust very thin, and use turkey pepperoni, partly skimmed cheeses. Our whole family loves them. I can also measure all the toppings and everything so I know the calorie count per slice. It's pretty healthy, maybe just a little high on the sodium, but far better than many restaurant versions.0

That is torture! Maybe you can incorporate some healthy pizza options to the menu if its a privately owned place. Thin wholewheat crust and lower fat cheese and all the vegetables you want!0

I work as a chef for a living... and every now and then, Im called upon to handle the gourmet pizzas... TRUST ME when I say, the easiest way NOT to eat them is to read the labels.... the calories, the bad fats, the excessively HIGH CARBS are NOT worth it!
I also have food restrictions so I look forward to making healthy foods ALL the time at work! I make my own homemade dishes and have received RAVING reviews on what they are smelling as I cook....
It is easy to NOT have this food.. its up to you to retrain your way of thinking, better meal planning and creation and spend some time doing some research on healthier options....
Trust me when I say, Im the only person out of 110 employees that had to ask for a chef jackets two-sizes smaller than what I wore when I was hired... 2XL to L is the best damn feeling and I have the support from some awesome fellow chefs who back me up!0 -
