Exercising at night vs. day

It is very hard for me to find the time to exercise during the day (most days at least)...is it ok to exercise during the day when I can and when I can't, exercise at night? Or will those times when I exercise at night really screw with my ability to sleep afterwards? I hope this question makes sense, lol.

Yeah, I recently got some melatonin...but it doesn't really work for me. I think it's 1mg or something.0

i do, sometimes i exercise in the day and it energises me and some days i exercise at night and i have a better sleep, i find that if i have a set time to exercise i end up getting bored or if theres a change in my day i end up not exercising at all (if that makes sense?) so i do it whenever it feels right, like today i did both day and evening!0

I usually exercise anywhere from 5-8 pm, and that's been fine for me. I would rather exercise later in the day because it doesn't energize me, it makes me tired... and I don't want to spend the rest of the day sleepy. lol0

Yeah, but you're prolly bigger framed than me...I'm little and 3 mg would prolly knock me into oblivion...do you wake up groggy the next day?0 -
I find that I'm more likely to get in a good workout if I can do it early in the morning. I'm usually up before anyone else in the house so it's my me time. I usually get up do my workout and then get breakfast started before anyone gets up. It seems to work for me. If I wait to workout in the evenning either I'm too tired from work to give any serious effort or I end up blowing it off all together. When I do work out at night it takes forever for me to get to sleep so early a.m. is the best bet for me.0

Do what works for your body. My body likes to exercise between 12 and 5 PM. but is not feasible most the time. I find if I do it earlier in the day if something comes up, I won't "not have time" to do it. although, I have been know to do it at 7 PM when I couldn't fit it in anyother time. If it doesn't affect you going to sleep, then do it later. I know after 7 I could be in for being up later. Know how your body responds to late exercising, so you don't miss your sleep!!!!0
