when should you up your calories?

i have heard a lot of people say when they increased their calories they began to lose more weight.. when should that happen.. i have lost 14 lbs so far.. then thanksgiving and christmas hit and i just now got back to my pre holiday weight. i am on a 1200 cal diet.. i try to exercise 5 times a week.

You're eating 1200 *net* calories right? If you aren't then I would suggest increasing them now. Otherwise, I suggest increasing when you plateau. That's what I did to break through my first one.0

I have lost 26lbs so far and have yet to get anywhere near a plateau stage, so if you are comfortable with eating 1200 cals then stick with that until you reach your plateau
But as the above poster said, make sure your netting at least 1200
