Upper Chest Gone?

So, firstly, lemme start off by saying I'm female to male, which means I was born with some body parts, I don't really want, and born without one I really need. I know when I was thinner my chest was almost not there. Is there something I can do to make my chest smaller? When I went with ex to Victoria's Secret, they measured me at 36A, but I called BS. I think I'm at least a B or something. I don't know how the measuring of all this stuff works, anyhow. So, there's gotta be something I can do, right? Any ideas? I'm just almost five weeks post-hysto, so I need to be real careful for the next few weeks, but other than that I should be okay. Help, and thanks in advance.

If you use the search thread you'll see any number of women who DO want those body parts complaining their boobs have shrunk as they've lost weight, so that has to help! Also try different types of bras. There are reducing bras but they're usually for large sizes. Try compression-type or crop-top style sports bras, they work by hugging them closer to the body which should help. Sports Jock or Dans-EZ make them and they're super-comfy and good at stopping bounce.

The only thing I can think of (besides surgery) is to drop your body fat.

Lots of women complain when they lose weight/body fat that their boobs are disappearing - basically fat is what they're made of, so they would get smaller! Also, lots of women is figure/bb comps end up having breast implants, so you get the idea.

Body fat is lowered through a calorie deficit, so basically diet and exercise. If you can't exercise much at the moment, start of with just diet, and work yourself up with the exercise when your body is ready for it. The aim eventually would be to have some sort of exercise plan in place, preferably including strength training as this will help you maintain your muscle meaning that more of what you lose will be fat rather than a combination of fat and muscle :)

Berry, I have zero bounce to speak up, just hate the way they look. I wear several different binders that are made to make them look like they're not there, but I'm trying to get them to actually go away. Thanks, though.

Heidi, I'm hoping have the ten grand for surgery by Christmas, because I know I can do it. How do I get rid of fat, exactly? I can lose weight, but that's not the same, huh? Yeah, I'm trying to stay under on calories, which I seem to be doing a good job on, but as mentioned in one of my previous posts, I'm a straight up junk food addict. ;x Do you have any suggestions for exercise? Thanks for your help.

As a big bloke I can relate to your issues here as I am sure my chest would be around the same size as yours, fat loss and chest toning will help but wont do anything about the actual breast tissue, that will need the operation to remove it.

I have found winter to be quite nice this year as I am wearing compression base layers and it has really flattened the appearance of the chest. Unfortunately it is not possible to spot reduce fat so as you lose weight all over they should get smaller.

Where'd you get your base layer, Rich? Here, they are NOT cheap. Yeah, I'm hoping they get smaller quickly. Hoping to lose some fat, but like, I have an ice cream in my freezer, and I can just hear it calling my name.. I don't want to eat crap anymore, but .. it tastes so good. Thanks, buddy.

Having a look at your diary you're doing well with the calorie goals - but not exercising right? My first recommendation would be to fix an appointment with a personal trainer who can give you tips to tone your pectorals. There are all sorts and by building up muscle there (I believe) it compresses fat and tissue and think that will help. Or you could probable just google any excercises for the pectorals. That plus all-around cardio activities 3x a week which will help most with the fat loss.

I'm not supposed to exercise or do much of anything til I'm completely healed from surgery, which is twenty-three days from now. Sometimes, it's a struggle for me to get up to pee/cook/shower/etc, still How much is that going to cost? I'm broke! I think that would be a good idea. I'm gonna try to check out Youtube, and see what's on there. Yeah, I should give that a shot, thanks.

Oh fair enough - definitely wait til you're given the ok to exercise! When you can my friend swears by BodyRock.TV which has a ton of free workouts. I should get on it myself! Good luck with your surgery recovery!

When you are in a calorie deficit you lose scale weight which is both fat and muscle. Like you said, it's not the same as just fat. To minimise muscle loss (therefore only losing fat) you stay on a small deficit - I'd say no more than 500 under maintenance, and you exercise (strength training) and get sufficient protein. You will still lose as long as you're in a deficit, just it will be pretty much all fat.

I'm a woman with a naturally small bust (A cup). I lost about 100 pounds, which means my breast tissue is pretty weird too (flat and floppy, sorry to be gross), so this may not work for you, but it happened to me entirely by accident. I was doing push-ups and planks about 6 days a week for conditioning, and after a while (4-6 months), without clothing on, my pectoral muscles were actually more noticeable than my breasts. To me it was sorta funny looking, but it might be visually more appealing to you in the time before you are able to have surgery to remove the breast tissue. As others have said, losing some body fat will probably help as well. Congratulations on your surgery and starting a new phase in your life. I hope all goes well for you.

Rich, I will grab that one, in March, as I won't have money til then. Thanks, buddy!

Ala, I started skating again, which kinda screws up my day, but I work wioth it. I'll check that out. Thanks.

Heidi, that sounded like Greek to me! What is maintenance again? How do I figure that out? I eat sunflower seeds and fish, as I quit meat! I hope it works!

Melissa, they say I'm an A cup, but like I said, I don't believe it. Push ups and planks sound really good to me. I could see what's up. I'm going to try to lose some fat. Thanks, hon, I really appreciate it! -hugs-
