Starting Maintenance- ladies?????

Soooo excited that I have finally hit my goal weight! I have no interest in losing more weight, so I know I probably need to change my goals to maintain rather than to lose, but this concept seriously makes me nervous!

Ladies- anyone have any experience/advice on this? Should I slowly move over to maintenance? Or should I start immediately?

I have the same dilemma -- reached goal, but was also recovering from surgery and just got back into working out, so that number hasn't been stable over the last 2 weeks. Wondering if I should have gone on maintenance before this to ease into things...

I think it depends on what your calorie deficit has been. Mine was only to lose 1/2 lb a week (250 cals) and so maintenance for me is almost the same. If you have been eating 500, 750, or less than what MFP says is maintenance, I would go up slowly in 250 increments and see how your body responds.

Congratulations! For my maintenance, I chose to do my basal metabolic rate of 1600. By doing this, I have pretty much stayed within a two pound range....even through the holidays!
