Calorie Burn QUES!

Hi folks!

Just wondering... Hubby works out 30 minutes, and according to his heart/watch monitor, burns 400+ calories.

I do the SAME exact workout, only I add 10 minutes (it's an alternate walk/run on the treadmill) and I only burn 350 calories.

My doctor recommended keeping my heart rate at around 150 bpm, and I vary from 140-160 doing this particular workout.

I'm just wondering, can anyone explain if I am doing something wrong? I'd have thought I'd burn more in 40 minutes. Or is it simply that he's a guy, and metabolism is THAT varied, simply based on gender?

I appreciate any input, and even advice on how to get the number of calories burned UP. Thanks!
