Onederland!

Ok, so this is the first time I have shared anything on MFP. I really enjoy reading other's stories and acomplishments. They keep me motivated in a way that I didn't think I needed.

So, on that note, I have been heavy all my life. Even at my thinnest (just out of high school) I was still the "fat" one of our friends. Over the years I have just gotten bigger without even realizing. At my heaviest I was 240 (I'm 5'8"). I was successful in losing some of the weight a few years ago (I got down to 215) but let it come back. I started my current journey at 230 in September 2011. I joined MFP in November 2011.

MFP has changed the way I look at food and think about my excercise. I have always been very active and thought that was good enough. This was obviously not the case.

I now, with great pleasure, can announce that I have reached Onederland. My drivers license is now wrong in a good way. I have a long way to go (at least 50 more!), but this was this biggest milestone I had. I haven't seen Onederland in over 15 years. I now know that I can make it.

And now that the holidays are over I can safely say I'm back in Onederland with you and I plan on staying there!

Congratulations - funny you should mention the drivers license thing....I must fess up. Last time I renewed my license which was 3 years ago, the weight was 126 pounds. They didn't question me so I didn't suggest that it be changed to the 174 that I was at the time. I have to renew again in a year so I am pressing to make that 126 again so I don't have to worry about THEM suggesting anything!!!

Congrats! I can't wait to reach Onederland again! The last time was in 2003...then job stresses and bad choices had me gaining again. I'm going to get there this time and STAY there. Good for you!!!!!!!
